Makita is expanding the line of cordless OPE to include the 40V max XGTĀ® Brushless 21" Self-Propelled Commercial Lawn Mower. With no gas, emissions, oil mixing or pull starts, the 40V max XGTĀ® Cordless Lawn Mower is a welcome solution for efficient grass cutting. Reduced maintenance lowers operating costs and minimizes downtime. The mower features a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers up to 2,800 RPM, a commercial grade steel deck, and a 3-in-1 design that allows for mulching, bagging, or rear discharge. Rear-wheel drive self-propelled technology provides improved traction and improved performance on incline slopes and uneven terrain. It also features large 9ā wheels with steel ball bearings to provide a smoother drive with better maneuverability and increased durability. The mower can cut up to 3/5 of an acre in 54 minutes or less with two 40V XGTĀ® 4.0Ah batteries. It is powered by one 40V XGTĀ® with the ability to carry two batteries allowing the GML01SM extended run time using the Auto-Switching two-bay battery system. Convenience features include a rubberized soft grip handle bar for added comfort, a folding handle for compact upright storage, and a single lever that quickly adjusts cutting height from 1-1/4ā to 4ā. It is equipped with a rear discharge cover with a mulching plug included. Quiet mode can be engaged which reduces noise by providing constant speed control. XPTā¢ is a protective seal inside the tool and is engineered for improved operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components. It is IPX4-rated for weather-resistant construction and durability.
